The permit is issued for three years and requires proof of at least two years of professional experience, annual income of at least $25,000, and physical presence in Georgia for no less than 183 days per year.
Eligible applicants include employees of IT companies, individual entrepreneurs with small business status, executives of international IT companies, and their family members. Supporting documents must confirm work experience and income (including sources). Applications are submitted after registration with the Ministry of Health.

BPN also emphasizes that these benefits apply not only to individuals but to companies as well. Since 2020, the Georgian government has reduced the tax burden for several sectors, including IT. In particular, international IT companies with special status pay 15% personal income tax instead of the standard 20%, while corporate and personal income tax for certain IT companies has been reduced to 5%.
